G DIARIES: UNSTOPPABLE EVEN DURING THE PANDEMIC
Bags two awards from PMPC Star Awards for TV and a Gawad Tanglaw
Amid lockdowns and travel restrictions during the pandemic, G Diaries continued to produce and air fresh episodes for Seasons 8 and 9, and bagged two awards at the 34th PMPC Star Awards for Television — Best Travel Show and Ernie Lopez for Best Travel Show Host.
It was also bestowed the Jury Award for Excellence in Development Communication at the 19th Gawad Tanglaw last January 2022.
G Diaries is an advocacy show produced by ABS-CBN Foundation and originally founded by former Department of Environment Secretary Gina Lopez. After her demise in August 2019, her younger brother Ernie Lopez took over the hosting duties and was joined by his wife Michelle Arville in May 2021.
Couples Ernie Lopez and Michelle Arville spent the first year of their marriage hosting the show and shooting episodes both in the USA and the Philippines.
G Diaries features advocacy-oriented stories on the environment, children’s welfare, arts and culture, humanitarian assistance, health and wellness, livelihood and education.
Its recently concluded 9th Season with the theme, Stronger Together, was produced during the last two quarters of 2021 and was done in partnership with the Lopez Group of Companies, with the support of the Energy Development Corporation.

The couple had flown to the US in May 2021 to get married in a simple ceremony attended by their families at the backyard lawn of Ernie’s brother, Gabby Lopez’s home. They stayed on for their honeymoon and have been busy filming G Diaries in various locations in California in the months that followed.
Isyoot Multimedia Production has line-produced for the 8th and 9th seasons of G Diaries, from conceptualization to creation, from script to screen. Many of the original production team members from ABS-CBN Foundation that produced G Diaries since its inception in 2017 are currently the key people in Isyoot.
